COPS WIN IN PITTSBURG ART STUDENT CASE

On Wednesday, an eight-member jury decided in favor of three Pittsburgh police officers on Jordan Miles’ accusation of malicious prosecution and a judge ordered a mistrial on two other counts, ending a three-week civil trial but setting up an as-yet-unscheduled retrial on whether the officers falsely arrested the young Homewood man and used excessive force. “We feel this is a win, obviously a major win,” said James Wymard, attorney for Officer David Sisak. The officers welcome the next trial, their lawyers said. “They want to be vindicated on the other two counts,” said attorney Robert Leight, attorney for Officer Richard Ewing. Mr. Miles’ attorney, J. Kerrington Lewis, said his client “believes in this case. … We’re going to go back at it.” Mr. Miles’ other attorney, Timothy O’Brien, said there are evidentiary issues that may be decided differently the second time around, which he felt could favor the plaintiff. Officer Ewing and co-defendant Officer Michael Saldutte left U.S. District Court without saying a word. Officer Sisak did not attend the reading of the verdict. Mr. Miles and his mother, Terez Miles, likewise declined comment.

WIZ KHALIFA THINKS HIS "ROLLING PAPERS" ALBUM IS TOO POP...

Taylor Gang head honcho Wiz Khalifa recently discussed the open letter he penned earlier in the year critiquing the sound of his "Rolling Papers" album, and the rapper still thinks it sounded too pop. According to Wiz, the album was in response to naysayers who thought he could only do raps about marijuana.

"I'm a different type of dude. I critique myself way harder than anybody else could critique me. Whether people know it or not, when I go in the booth or when I pick my beats or with my artwork, everything is really detailed and I get down into it. I know what went into making that album and I know what went into making my other projects, so I know where I could have went a little stronger or where I could have done what I felt was more natural...My cousin kind of put it to me the best earlier today. he was like, on "Rolling Papers", I was more or less trying to show my skills, what I could do. Versatility. Everybody was like, 'You're a weed rapper.' I was like, 'OK, I can show them different stuff.'"

"Rolling Papers" did well commercially, but Wiz will have to answer to fans of his older projects like "Kush & Orange Juice" on his next album.

 On a recent outing in Malibu reality star Kim Kardashian showed off her enviable curves in a strappy bikini while she relaxed with PR guru and best friend Jonathan Cheban. According to a close friend of Kim's told the National Enquirer how the buxom brunette has toned her body recently.

NICKI MINAJ TO PUT ON A FREE CONCERT TO MAKE UP FOR HER SUMMER JAM NO SHOW

Earlier this summer, Young Money artist Nicki Minaj made headlines when she backed out of her scheduled performance at Hot 97's Summer Jam after Peter Rosenberg expressed his disapproval for her track "Starships". The matter was highly publicized for weeks afterwards and now Nicki says she'll make it up to the fans who were disappointed that she didn't take the stage that day.

Nicki has announced that she'll be performing on August 14th in New York City and according to reports, the make-up concert will go down at the Roseland Ballroom. She took to Twitter to let her millions of followers know of her plans to give them a show.

"Hey barbz, I'm happy to announce my #Free #pinkfridaytour show in #NewYork is going down on aug14th. (This is in ADDITION 2 the Today show). I'm gonna push the time to line up @ the venue back a bit so u guys don't have to miss the Today show".
